Alyce C. (Hanna) Ortiz

Alyce C. (Hanna) Ortiz, 84, of Brockton, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on April 28, 2019. A native of Allston, she was the daughter of the late Herbert J. and Bertha M. (Kramer) Hanna. Alyce was devoted to her family and home and loved entertaining all of the relatives. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, and crossword puzzles. Alyce was the wife of the late Juan “Tony” Ortiz; beloved mother of Gina Ortiz of Brockton; loving Nana of Amber and the late Elisamarie ; sister of James Hanna, Leslie Conti, Elizabeth Ramos, and the late Harold Spencer, Herbert Hanna, Arthur “Buddy” Hanna, Phyllis Beam, Louise Pugh, and Ruth Hanna; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to her memorial service Saturday, May 4th at 11 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. The family respectfully wishes that no flowers be sent. Memorial gifts may be made to American Heart Association.
