Marie Telemaque, 83, of Stoughton, passed away peacefully at home on April 5, 2024. Born in Marmont, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Meristal and Anne (Augustin) Telemaque. Hardworking and dedicated to her family, Marie was a skilled farmer and savvy businesswoman in Haiti for many years until her retirement.
Marie was a devout Catholic and was a longtime member of The Legion of Mary in Haiti. She enjoyed attending the Amazing Ambiance Adult Day Health Center where she made many friends and went on wonderful trips. Marie loved singing and dancing and was a talented seamstress and crocheter.
Marie was the beloved mother of Mireille Jean-Michel and her husband Antoine of Stoughton, Yves Jean-Gilles and his wife Amelita St. Ville of Haiti, Rony Jean-Gilles and his wife Petronne Laporte of Haiti, Robescinday Pierre and his wife Lovely Calixte of Florida, Wilner Pierre and his wife Josesadelle Joseph of Florida, and the late Chad Jean-Gilles; loving grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister of Antoine Telemaque and Jeanine Telemaque, both of Haiti; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to her viewing service on Saturday, April 13th from 8-9:30 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton, and burial at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton.
