Dennis Lee Pierce

Dennis Lee Pierce, 68, of East Bridgewater, passed away on March 18, 2024 after battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Born in Winthrop, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Hall) Pierce. A 1975 graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, he was a dedicated employee for Richard Sena at Irving’s Home Center for almost 40 years until retiring 2 years ago.

Dennis was a talented musician and guitarist and enjoyed playing music with his brother Steve. He loved nature and its connections and played the Native American flute beautifully. Dennis was an avid motorcyclist and member of the Manomet Mystery Riders. Most important to Dennis was his family and he cherished the times spent in New Hampshire with his son and grandsons. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Dennis was the beloved husband of Colleen M. (Spillane) Pierce; loving father of Jason Pierce (and Jen) of New Hampshire, Crystal Pierce of East Bridgewater, Samantha Pierce of Brockton, and Jessica Pierce (and Walker) of VT; grandfather of Jordan, Landon, Declan, and Kaylee; brother of Steven Pierce (and Deborah) of Brockton, Richard Pierce of Brockton, and the late William “Buddy” Pierce; uncle of Tracie Gutierrez (and Jorge) of Brockton, Neil Pierce of Holbrook, and Steven Pierce (and Brittany) of Pembroke. Dennis also leaves many close cousins that he enjoyed spending time with. The many people Dennis touched with his spirituality, connection to nature, and music are too countless to name.

All are welcome to memorial calling hours Fri., April 5th from 4-6 p.m. followed by a 6 p.m. time of remembrance at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton. Reception to follow at VFW Post 1046, 283 N. Quincy St., Brockton from 7-10 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to a charity near and dear to you or donate a gift of your time as Dennis would.
