Lillian P. Stepanski, 74, of Easton for over 45 years, died peacefully March 3, 2010 surrounded by her family and friends. Lillian was born to the late William and Anna Yenush on December 14, 1935, in Boston, MA. She was raised in Boston, Dorchester and Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School in 1953. Lillian was a Vice President and senior loan officer for several banks, including Easton Cooperative Bank and retired from Mutual Federal Savings Bank in 2003. More importantly, she was a mother, sister, friend and generous person who put others first.
Lillian was the beloved mother of Joseph G. Stepanski, Jr. and James W. Stepanski of Easton. She is also survived by her loving twin brother Leonard P. Yenush, his wife Eleanor of Brockton, their 5 daughters and their families, all of whom she loved dearly and was the sister of the late Felix and Edward Yenush.
Lillian enjoyed retirement with her family and a wonderful supportive group of close friends. Most recently she courageously battled a debilitating neurological disease with grace, dignity and determination. She was an inspiration to many and will be sadly missed.

Jerry DiPrizio, 92, of Bourne, formerly of Halifax, died January 11, 2010. Born in Boston on October 27, 1917, he was the son of the late Gaetano and Jennie (Barone) DiPrizio. Jerry served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater during WWII. A member of Local 718, he retired from the Boston Fire Department in 1982 after 33 years. Jerry was the husband of the late Edith Fiore and Edna Gay, stepfather of Roberta A. McGrath and her husband John of Cotuit, brother of Jenna Perrotta of Waltham, Theresa Uccello of Woburn and the late Tony DiPrizio, and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. Henry J. Beltram, 97, of Boston, passed away at Good Samaritan Medical Center on February 25, 2010. Henry lived a long and happy life. A former employee of First National Stores in Somerville, he retired at 65 to pursue other interests. A well read man, he was an avid book collector with a great thirst for knowledge and a great curiosity for life. He was a true Boston Red Sox fan and attended many games at Fenway Park. Henry was the son of the late John and Catherine Beltrami, husband of the “love of his life” the late Mary (Nestico) Beltram, loving father of Catherine Nocella and Donna Peeters and her husband George, caring friend to his son-in-law Frank Nocella, brother of the late Helen Lydon and Linda Goggin, beloved grandfather of Nicole Lewis and her husband Shawn, Christopher Peeters, and the late Joseph W.  Julio Angelo “Jay” Salerno, 81, of Norwell and Marion, died February 5, 2010 surrounded by his family at Quincy Medical Center after a brief illness. A builder by trade and an innovative carpenter, he owned several businesses. A kind and gentle man, he was nicknamed “Smiley” and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Julio took pleasure in spending summers in Marion and motor home camping in FL. A loving and devoted family man, he was an animal lover and enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cribbage and whist, and New England sports teams. Florence G. (Gurney) Wass, 91, of Bridgewater since 2002, formerly of Avon for many years, died Feb. 9, 2010 at home surrounded by family.  Harold Stuart Smith Jr., 67, of Brockton, died February 6, 2010. A lifelong South Shore resident, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era. A long time wedding photographer, he was employed as a project manager for Abel-Womack of Lawrence for over 25 years. He enjoyed traveling, cruises, Cape Cod, cooking, photography, bowling and golfing. Stu was a dear son of Bernice R. Smith of Florida and the late Harold S. Doreen A. (Augelli) Quaglia, 51, of Brockton, died December 29, 2009. A native of Roslindale and Hyde Park, she resided in Brockton for the past 20 years. She graduated from Quincy College, Phi Beta Theta with honors, with an A.B. in Paralegal Studies, in 1988. Doreen was employed as a health inspector for 15 years for the Brockton Board of Health and was named “Brockton’s Woman of The Year” in 2001. An advocate for autistic children, she was also engaged in charitable activities such as Secret Santa. Doreen was the daughter of Marilyn Augelli of Hyde Park and the late Douglas Augelli, beloved wife of Atty. Liza E. (Heffernan) Martens, 50, of Brockton, died Dec. 3, 2009 after a courageous seven-year battle with breast cancer. Raised in Avon, daughter of the late Herbert and Anne (Sandsbury) Heffernan, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1977 and was employed in customer service for Graphic Productions in Rockland and at I-Pac in Quincy. Liza’s courage was an inspiration to many.  Vincent “Vinny” F. Froio, 66, of Brockton, native of Chelsea and a Vietnam era Army veteran, died Feb. 15, 2009 peacefully surrounded by family. Michele J. “Mickey” Hadges , 49, of Sandwich, formerly of Brockton, died Oct. 26, 2008 after a brief illness. A 1977 graduate of Brockton High School, Mickey worked locally in the food and beverage industry for over 25 years. Mickey loved to shop, garden, birdwatch, spend time with her dog Loco, explore Cape Cod natural history and go to the beach. Maria L. (Nelson) Belcher, 66, of Kingston, formerly of Brockton, died on April 17, 2008. Native of Dorchester, she was a caring daughter to her late parents, Russell and Katherine (Cronin) Nelson of Braintree. She resided in Brockton for over 30 years where she was a true homemaker, raising her three sons and enjoying her home, gardening and great cooking, especially Sunday dinners. Despite lifelong health issues, Maria was a hard-working and generous person who put others first and she was an animal lover. Maria was the devoted wife for 51 years of John J. “Bubba” Belcher, a retired Braintree police officer, the loving and beloved mother of John J. Belcher Jr. and James R. Katherine A. “Kay” (Danksewicz) Waitt, 85, of Brockton, was born on March 4, 1923 and died July 5, 2008. Native of Abington, she was a 1940 graduate of Abington High School where she was captain of the girls’ basketball team. Married to Edward J. Waitt since July 12, 1942, she assisted him at Waitt Funeral Home for many years. Kay was active in women’s clubs and St. Casimir School and Church activities, took community school courses and enjoyed many crafts until becoming blind.
