William Soknich Obituary

William "Bill" Soknich, 61, of Brockton, passed away February 22, 2018. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late George and Carroll Soknich. Bill was a retired engineer for the federal government and had worked at the Hanscom Air Force Base. He was a member and treasurer of the Vega Club and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, carpentry, traveling, and spending time with his family. Bill was the beloved husband of the late Linda Wass; proud father of Sam Soknich and his wife Mary-Margaret of Ft. Worth, TX; loving brother of Elizabeth “Beetsie” Atherton of NM, George “Nick” Soknich of TX, Gerald "Gerry" Soknich of PA, and the late Julie Russell; good friend and son-in-law of Bud Wass of Avon; and a dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours Saturday, March 3rd from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by a 12 noon Celebration of Life in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Private committal.
