William A. Camillo Jr., 82, of Avon, passed away peacefully May 15, 2017. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years in the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Hornet. He was a meat-cutter and shipper-receiver for Boston area distributors. Bill coached Avon Little League baseball for many years. He loved scratching lottery tickets and was an avid sports fan.  He was a life member of V.F.W. Post 8892 in Avon. Bill was the beloved husband of Susan (Rindone) Camillo for 64 years; loving father of Susan Argrew and Dianne Watson, both of Avon, and William A. Camillo III and his wife Joanne of Taunton; dear grandfather of Kim Small and her husband David, Will and Kate Camillo, Kaci Richards her husband Thomas, and the late Nicolas Watson; great-grandfather of Abby, DJ and Matthew Small, and Lucas and Olivia Richards; brother of Anthony Camillo, Anna Brady, Betty Stone, Nancy Finnerty and other late siblings; and an uncle of many. All are welcome to calling hours Sunday 2-5 in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, his funeral Monday at 10:30 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home, funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Avon and burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to V.F.W. Post 8892, 263 East Main St. Avon MA 02322.
