Thomas E. Williams Sr., 84, of Carver, formerly of Brockton, died Nov. 20, 2015. Raised in South Boston, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean War. He was a retired Boston Police patrolman. Tom was the devoted husband of the late Elizabeth (McNulty) Williams; loving father of Thomas Williams Jr. and his wife Karen of Carver, Anna Williams Cote and her husband Michael of Marshfield, Elizabeth Murphy and her husband Kevin of Abington, James Williams of Wisconsin and the late Patricia Thompson and Mary Porcari; dear grandfather of 6; great-grandfather of 7; brother of Joseph and his wife Claire of S. Boston and late James, Daniel and John “Jack” Williams; and an uncle of many. All are welcome to calling hours Tuesday 5-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Chapel at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Avon. Private burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
