Silvina (Pestana) Ramos, 87, of Brockton, died November 24, 2015. Born in Madeira, Portugal, she moved to Brockton in 1978. Silvina worked at Arkless in Stoughton and Jordan’s Furniture in Avon for years. Devoted to her family, she enjoyed telephone conversations, drives, shopping and cooking. Silvina was the beloved wife of the late Manual C. Ramos for 64 years; loving mother of Maria Chaves (and Antonio) of Freetown, Celeste Reynolds (and Joe) of Portugal, Faustina Andrade (and Manuel) of East Bridgewater, Judy Monteiro (and Manuel) of Brockton, Teresa Kinan (and Andy) of Newport, R.I., Rita Azevedo (and Giovani) of Brockton, Alzira Guedes (and Orlando) of Bristol, R.I., Manuel Ramos (and Veronica) of Middleboro, John Ramos of Brockton and the late Manuel and John Ramos; devoted grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of many; and an aunt of many. All are welcome to calling hours Monday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Chapel at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, her funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
