Sandra L. “Sandie” (Bruso) Smith, 55, of Brockton for the past 2 years, died January 20, 2016. Raised on the South Shore, she was the daughter of Carole Smith of N. Easton and the late Thomas Bruso. A graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, she had worked as a machinist locally. Sandie moved to Liberty, Maine 20 years ago where she lived until recently and owned and operated a stained glass shop. A free spirit and animal lover, she enjoyed crocheting, playing cribbage, daily flower gardening, reading and photography. Sandie was the mother of Becki Smith of Brighton; sister of Debra Reid of Stoughton, Carole Goodis of Norton and Thomas Bruso of Taunton; former wife of Geoff Smith of Maine; close friend of Bill Mason of Brockton; and an aunt of many. Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours Thursday from 4-6 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Chapel at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Private committal.
