Saintanie Leveille, 94, of Brockton, formerly of New York, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2016. Born in Jacmel, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Andre Leveille and Lausanne Bayard. Selfless throughout her life, Saintanie not only dedicated herself to her family, but also helped others in need. In Haiti, she worked as a hairdresser and seamstress for many years. She was sharp, and found pleasure and importance in educating her grandchildren. Along with family vacations and outings, she enjoyed watching her favorite T.V. shows: Jeopardy, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Let’s Make a Deal and The Price is Right, at which she attended a taping in 2015. Her vibrancy will live on and she will always be remembered for her strength and caring nature. Saintanie was the cherished mother of Etzer Leveille and his wife Bethy of Queens, New York, Rolande Leveille Edmond and her husband Garry Edmond of Brockton and Emmanuel Lespinasse Leveille and his wife Yane of Haiti; devoted grandmother of Regine Edmond, Nathalie Edmond, Claudel Leveille, Stanley Edmond, Valerie Leveille, Connie Leveille, Etzer Junior Leveille, Jonathan Edmond, Stephanie Leveille and Noah Leveille. Saintanie also leaves many loving extended family and friends. All are welcome to her funeral service Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 4 p.m. in Temple Adventiste De Brockton, 237 Court St., Brockton, with visitation in the church beginning at 3 p.m. and gathering Monday, February 1, 2016 at 9 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton for procession to Melrose Cemetery.
