Robert M. Tantillo, 85, of Brockton, passed away peacefully at home Sept. 10, 2017. A native of Braintree, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and then was a welder at Fore River Shipyard in Quincy. He was a self-employed painter for decades in the Brockton area and enjoyed all sports and horse racing. Bob was the beloved husband of Doris E. (Guillemette) Tantillo for 63 years; loving father of Debra Stanley and Robert F. Tantillo, both of Brockton, and Lisa Bushell (and her husband Michael) of Weymouth; grandfather of Keith, Kevin and Brandon Tantillo, Sean Stanley (and his wife Stacey), and Christopher and Bradley Bushell; brother of Josephine Fabiano of Braintree and the late Mary Avitable. All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, his funeral Thursday at 10 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home and burial at Knollwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 321 Manley St. West Bridgewater MA 02379 or your favorite charity.
