Robert E. Kondracki, 88, of East Dennis, formerly of Brockton, passed away peacefully June 13, 2016. He was signed by the Chicago Cubs in 1944 at the age of 16, but was called to serve in the U.S. Navy a year later as a hospital apprentice during WWII. He graduated from Stone Hill College after attending Boston University and University of Bridgeport. Following college, Robert started his career as a teacher in Randolph, where he also coached football. He was the principal at Southeastern Regional High School for many years until his retirement and was then a child psychologist at the school until 5 years ago. He was a talented painter and avid chess player. Robert was the husband of the late Lorraine (Lanzetta) Kondracki for 59 years before her passing in January; loving father of Ellen and her husband Philip Johnson of Andover, Beth and her husband John Kennedy of Bridgewater and Michael Kondracki and his wife MaryAnne of Mattapoisett; dear grandfather of Seth, Christopher, Alexandra, Rebecca, Timothy, Gabrielle, Nicholas, Meaghan and Matthew; brother of the late Frederick Kondracki; brother-in-law of Robert Lanzetta and his wife Ginny of Marshfield and the late Ralph and Ann Lanzetta; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Monday 4-8 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Tuesday at 10 a.m., funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Private cremation and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
