Paul O. Lessard

Paul O. Lessard, 72, of Raynham, formerly of Brockton for 42 years, died peacefully February 20, 2018. Native of Fall River, he was the son of Roland of Fall River and the late Juliette. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Brockton firefighter who was a talented guitarist and pianist and he loved yardwork and fishing. Paul was the beloved husband of Beatrice (Johnson) Lessard for almost 50 years; loving father of Michael Lessard (and his wife Kelly) of Braintree and Brian Lessard (and and his wife Sheila) of Fort Mill, SC; grandfather of Nolan, Sean, Brighid and Mary; brother of Jacqueline Pratt (and Steve Paul) of Salt Lake City, UT, Jeanne Biltcliffe (and Mike) of Swansea, Madeleine Belmore (and Ed Loudermilk) of Mt. Airy GA and Diane (and Al) Kotila of Fitchburg; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. Following cremation, all are welcome to memorial calling hours Saturday 12 noon to 4 p.m. with a prayer service at 1 p.m.  in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
