Michael F. Svirsky, 47, of Bridgewater, passed away on October 3, 2017. After graduating from Coyle-Cassidy High School, he served in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm from 1991 to 1993, then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in geography from Bridgewater State College. He had been a geographer for the U.S. Census Bureau and enjoyed gaming, camping, fishing and motorcycles. Michael was the beloved son of Peter Svirsky of Bridgewater and the late Patricia (Kaseta) Svirsky; loving grandson of Pat Kaseta; dear nephew of Lorna Green Baker and her husband Paul Baker of Bridgewater, and Robert Kaseta of Taunton. Michael also leaves many cousins. All are welcome to calling hours Monday 5-7 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral procession to gather at Waitt Funeral Home Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. for a 10:45 a.m. committal at the Massachusetts National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Homes For Our Troops, 6 Main St., Taunton, MA 02780.
