Michael J. Shea, 53, of Holbrook, formerly of Brighton, passed away Dec. 16, 2017. Born and raised in Brighton, he was the only child of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Visco) Shea. He had owned Shea and Son Automotive in Allston. Mechanically inclined and a skillful craftsman, he could fix or make just about anything. He had enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and more recently his Suzuki Hayabusa. Mike was a welcoming host and friend to everyone. He played board games, pool and darts; and he bowled at Timber Lanes in Abington. His greatest sense of adventure came in flying and almost finished taking piloting lessons at Alpha One in Plymouth. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Mike was the beloved husband of Lisa M. (Priest) Shea for 8 years; loving father of Michael J. Shea Jr. of Attleboro and Samantha Shea of Brighton; and the dear son-in-law of Joan Chandler Priest. Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours Thursday 4-7 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Seasons Hospice or Animal Rescue League of Boston.
