Michael P. Carney, 42, of Brockton, passed away October 22, 2017. A 1993 graduate of Whitman-Hanson High School, he was a custodian for Brockton Public Schools for the past 15 years. Michael enjoyed fishing, going to concerts, The New England Patriots and The Boston Bruins. He was a well-loved friend to everyone. Michael was the beloved son of Paula (Larsen) Carney of Holbrook and the late Richard Carney; loving brother of Wayne Carney of Norwell and Sean Carney and his wife Laurie of N. Easton; uncle of Victoria, James, Zachary, Jason, Abigail, and Isabella; he also leaves the love of his life Jennifer Gauthier and her son Christopher McKim, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. All are welcome to calling hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, and a time of remembrance Friday at 11:30 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home.
