Margaret E. (Peterson) Heigham, 93, recently of Bridgewater, died November 25, 2017. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Pearl (Hayden) Peterson and a graduate of Malden High School. She had previously resided in Stoughton, Brockton and East Bridgewater. Betty had worked at Kresge and King Size for many years until retiring. She loved the water, vacationing in her summer cottages in Plymouth on Big Sandy Pond, Bloody Pond, and recently, Ezekiel Pond. She also loved vacationing on Sebago Lake, Maine. Betty enjoyed spending winters in Bonita Springs, Florida. Her hobbies included bicycling, hiking, swimming and water skiing. Betty was the wife of the late William L. Heigham; beloved mother of Barbara Smith and her husband Richard of East Bridgewater, Lorraine Kane and her husband Robert of East Bridgewater, and the late William L. Heigham Jr.; loving grandmother of 3; and a great-grandmother of 4. Services are private.
