Lillian I. (Mora) Pilalas, 84, of Brockton, passed away Feb. 5, 2018. Born in Juana Dias, Puerto Rico, she was the daughtr of the late Ramon and Ana (Veiga) Mora. She was an administrative assistant for Yunits Engineering, the Brockton Mayor’s Office and Sacred Heart Church; was active in local politics; and was a member of the Board of Directors at B.A.A.R.C., Brockton Housing Authority, Cardinal Spellman, and St. Joseph Manor. Lillian was the wife of the late Theodore “Ted” Pilalas; beloved mother of Mary Ann Buote and Diane “Dee Dee” Pilalas, both of Brockton, and Ted Pilalas Jr. of Virginia Beach; grandmother of Kristin Jackson, Caitlin Buote, Danielle Disharoom, and Teddy Pilalas; great-grandmother of Kiyana, Justin and Emilia; sister of Anne Marie Juliano of Brockton; and an aunt of many. All are welcome to calling hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, her funeral Friday at 8 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home and funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Edith Stein Parish. Cremation and private burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
