Laura Lee (Parnell) Jordan, 69, of Brockton for over 40 years, passed away peacefully Aug. 26, 2016 after many years of health difficulties. Born in Weymouth, she was raised in Abington and graduated from Abington High School in 1965. She was a certified nursing assistant at Brockton Hospital prior to raising her family. She volunteered at Raymond School Library and after her children grew up she was a clerk at Caldor’s then a sales associate for N.E.S. on Oak St. Before retiring in 2001 she was a pharmacy technician at CVS on North Pearl St. Laura loved family times, gardening and going to the beach. She was the daughter of the late William Harvey Parnell and Lee (Smith) Meagher and stepdaughter of the late Eugene “Buddy” Meagher; wife of the late James Leo Jordan; beloved mother of Chrystine Jordan of Brockton and Michael Jordan of Millinocket, Maine; devoted grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of 2; sister of Arthur Voss and his wife Mary of Florida, Donna Connerty and her husband Jeff of Bridgewater and the late Sandra Kahler and her surviving husband Ronald Kahler of Abington; and she was an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Monday 6-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, her funeral Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
