Jonathan M. Stent, 22, of Brockton, died April 13, 2016 after a valiant battle against brain cancer. He was a graduate of F.L. Chamberlain High School in Middleboro, where he was a mentor for other students there, and was a student at Massasoit Community College. He had worked part-time at several Game Stop stores. Jonathan enjoyed video games, music and volunteer work. He will be best remembered for his kind and huge heart full of sensitivity and compassion, and his beautiful smile that could light up a room. Jonathan was the beloved son of Lynne (MacMillan) Stent and Michael Stent, both of Brockton; loving brother of Matthew Glidden (and Kelly Weygand) of Easton; grandson of Russell MacMillan Sr. of Taunton; dear nephew of Russ (and Joanne) MacMillan, Chris (and Caroline) MacMillan, Tom Stent, Leigh Stent, Barbara Smith, Ellie MacMillan-Sullivan and Victor Ussow; cousin of Stephanie, Samantha, Russell, Heather, Christopher, Caity, Adam, Jacob, Hannah and Victor; best friend of Cam Van Damme; and sadly missed by his cat Jet. Jonathan was the grandson of the late Mina MacMillan. Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours Sunday 2-5 p.m. and a 5 p.m. memorial service in Waitt Funeral Chapel at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton.
