John J. Shinko Jr.

John J. “Biscuits” Shinko Jr., 61, of Brockton, died March 20, 2018. Born in Boston, he was the beloved son of John J. Shinko of Tennessee and the late Lorraine M. (Schell) Shinko. He was a plumber by trade, and enjoyed cooking delicious meals. Caring and funny, he was always goofing around and would talk to anyone he met. His warm nature led him to meet new friends all of the time. John enjoyed traveling, having lived all over the U.S., and watching The Simpsons, The Three Stooges and the ID Channel. He loved the beach, animals, music, and walks at Ames Nowell and Borderland State Parks. John was the loving father of Vanessa R. Shinko of Stoughton; dear brother of Julia Shinko of Walland, TN, Thomas Shinko of West Bridgewater, Victor Shinko and his wife Kim of Las Vegas, Scott Shinko of Walland, TN, and Eric Shinko of Brockton; former husband of Karen A. (Carlozzi) Shinko of Brockton; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Sunday 2-4 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Cremation and private committal.
