John J. Dwyer, 83, of Carver, passed away on September 1, 2017. Raised and educated in Mission Hill, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Salem and was a longtime member of the American Legion Post, Boston. John worked at the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed trips to Maine & Florida, and was an avid N.E. Patriots fan. John was the husband of the late Teresa (McDonald) Dwyer; longtime loving companion of Gerry Rezendes of Hyde Park & her family; beloved brother of Maureen Morency & her husband Larry of Randolph and Carol Dwyer SSND of Chicago; dear uncle of Lori Morency & her partner Denise Hamilton of Brockton and the late Michael Morency & his late wife Carolann; great-uncle of Steven Morency & his wife Jen, Michael Morency & his wife Shannon, and Daniel Morency & his fiancée Chelcie Hanley; and a great-great uncle of Devon & Chase Morency. Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours Thursday 4-7 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Friday at 8:45 a.m., funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Bernadette Church, Randolph and burial at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
