Jean Pierre Auguste Abelard

Jean Pierre Auguste Abelard, 53, of Brockton, passed away on April 13, 2018. Born in Camp-Perrin, Cayes, Haiti, he was the son of the late Auguste and Marie Aimie (Menelas) Abelard. He loved traveling and biking. Jean Pierre Auguste was a modest man, taking pleasure in the simple things in life. He will be greatly missed by his family. He was the beloved brother of Menelas Abelard and his wife Marise Joseph, Pascal Abelard and his wife Josie Guerrier, Claudette and her husband Edma Beljean, Jocelie Abelard, Flore and her husband Karl Jean Jeune, Raphaele and her late husband Kenol Ledan, Florine and her husband Christaine Toussaint and the late Maxime Abelard and his widow Yvrose Charles; loving uncle of Martine, Marielle and Magda Abelard, Emmanuel, Norline, Jessica, Christina and Jennifer Abelard, Amy Abelard, Dave, Stephane, Melissa and Michel Beljean, Jeffrey Rocher, Karl Emmanuel and Gregory Jean Jeune, Ricardo and Natalie Ledan, Tristan, Tiana, and Tyree Toussaint; and a great-uncle of many. All are welcome to calling hours Friday, April 27th from 6-9 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral Mass Saturday, April 28th at 9 a.m. in Christ the King Parish. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
