Jane G. (Backlund) Norris, 86, of Brockton, passed away Oct. 12, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Native of Boston, she had worked for A & A Distributors and Foxboro Company until retirement. She enjoyed camping, crafts and all her grandchildren. Jane was the wife of the late George L. Norris Sr.; beloved mother of George L. Norris Jr. and his wife Marilyn and Barbara A. Anderson and her husband Michael, all of Brockton; loving grandmother of Trisha J. Tschuta and her husband Corey, Derek S. Norris and his wife Michele, and James L. Miceli Jr. and his wife Carole; a devoted great-grandmother of many; a sister of the late Muriel Young, Ruth Farino, Fedora Cronopoulos, Elvira Gudinas and Mary Sherwood; and an aunt of many. All are welcome to calling hours Monday 4-7 p.m. and her service Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton and committal at V.A. National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of  flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Guardian Center (Residents Activity Fund), 888 N. Main St. Brockton MA 02301 or Alzheimer’s Association.
