James E. Easton, 61, of Taunton, passed away on July 17, 2017. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Richard and Mary (Horne) Easton, and a 1974 graduate of Brockton High School. Jim had worked as a district manager for American Food & Vending in Central Falls, R.I. for 23 years until his retirement. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed golfing and was an avid Patriots, Red Sox and Miami Hurricanes fan. Jim was the beloved husband of Cheryl A. Dunn for 36 years; loving father of Jimmy L. Easton and Joshua Dunn (and Melissa Mulcahy), all of Taunton; dear grandfather of Jamoni Walker and Hailey Dunn; brother of Dickie Easton of Pawtucket, R.I., Diane Easton Passanisi of Walpole, and the late John Easton; and an uncle of many. All are welcome to calling hours Friday, July 21st from 5-7:30 p.m., followed by a 7:30 p.m. prayer service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Cremation and private committal.
