Gerry Lanoue Stevens, 87, formerly of Brockton, passed away peacefully Dec. 2, 2017 at home in East Wareham where she resided since 2011 with her daughter Sally and son-in-law Bill. Born in Brockton in 1930, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Clara (Fitzgerald) Lanoue and was a 1949 graduate of Brockton High School. She had enjoyed swimming, bowling, dancing and beautiful music and later was an avid reader; also she and her late husband Tofie Stevens enjoyed their summer home at Hideaway Village. Gerry was the beloved mother of Sally (and Bill) Erwin, Judy (and Dana) Seaver, all of East Wareham, Linda Calo of Whitman (and the late Dr. Romualdo Calo) and the late Danny Stevens (and Debbie of West Bridgewater); grandmother of 9; great-grandmother of 9; sister of Ethel Hoover and Barbara Covell, both of Sanford FL, Gladys Stone of Brockton and the late Helen Lanoue, Bernice Flanders, Marie Gillis, and Raymond and William Lanoue; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Tuesday 3-7 p.m. and her funeral service Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
