Florence E. (Kalpokas) Holland, 96, of Bourne since 2002, formerly of Brockton, died March 14, 2017. A 1938 graduate of Brockton High School, she was a devoted homemaker and worked as a cafeteria aide for the Brockton Public Schools for a short time. Florence was talented at Venetian cutwork embroidery and crewel stitching, and was an accomplished cook known for her traditional Lithuanian recipes. She enjoyed reading and weekends and summers in East Sandwich, walking the beach and the paths along Scorton Creek. Florence was the wife of the late Francis R. Holland; beloved mother of Barbara Spagnola (and John) of Venice, FL, David Holland (and Caroline) of Florida, Patricia Hogan (and William) of Chatham, Michael Holland of Venice, FL, Joanne Mack (and Donald) of Maryland and Mary Ann Fischer (and Michael) of Monument Beach; loving grandmother of Matthew, Amy (and Keith), Erin (and Matt), Elizabeth (and Ryan), Jonathan (and Heather), Jessica, Alexander, Eva and Josephine; great-grandmother of Alexandra, Parker, Hayden and Thomas; sister of the late Julius and Anthony Kalpokas. All are welcome to calling hours Sunday 1-4 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Monday at 9 a.m., funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Avon and burial at Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
