Filomena Oliveira DeSilva, 58, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2016. Born in Praia, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Uostelino and Leopoldina Oliveira. She was vibrant and hardworking. A beautiful spirit, she was always the life of the party and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and going shopping. Filomena was the beloved mother of Lucia F. Lopes and her husband Mark, and Jerry Cardoso and his fiancée Sofia Gomes, all of Brockton; loving grandmother of Andru, Adryanna, Jerry Jr., Markis, Jacob, Mayson and Sadie; dear sister of Antonio Turquato Oliveira, Emanuel DeJesus Oliveira, Linda Oliveira, Mario Rui Oliveira, Ana Oliveira Sousa, Fatinha Correia, Jorge DaRosa and Luis Neves. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. All are welcome to her Memorial Mass Monday, March 28th at 9 a.m. in St. Edith Stein Church, Brockton. Private committal.
