Doris J. (DiCenzo)(Dunnells)McDonnell, 70, of Brockton, died peacefully Feb. 1, 2016 at home. She was retired from the cafeteria at Brookfield School and enjoyed crocheting, bingo, and the Boston Red Sox. Doris was the wife of the late Peter Dunnells and Paul McDonnell; daughter of the late Dorothy (Veazie)(Flaven) DiCenzo and Attilio DiCenzo; beloved mother of Sheri (Dunnells) Benson (Steven Shoemaker), Michelle (McDonnell) Oppman and Christine McDonnell, all of Brockton; loving grandmother of Scott Benson, Andrew Oppman, Kayla Swank (Zach Monteiro) and Justin Oppman; great-grandmother of Skylar Curtis and Calleigh Monteiro; longtime companion of Jim Brousseau; sister of Dorothy Croke (late Robert), Paul Flaven (Rene), Ernest Flaven (late Brigitta), Arthur Flaven (Betty), Diane Kelly (late William), Attilio DiCenzo (Barbara), Linda Mello (Ernest), Suzanne Twomey (Richard), Laraine Pintabone (Gerald), Pauline Crowley (Michael), Louisa Lopiccolo and the late Geraldine Randolph and Robert Flaven; and an aunt of many. Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. and 5 p.m. memorial service in Waitt Funeral Chapel at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Private committal. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hope Hospice, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis MA 02601.
