Dennis P. Horsman, 65, of Middleboro, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 29, 2016 after a brief illness. Born and raised in Brockton, he was a son of the late Dot and Lawrence Horsman. Dennis was retired after almost 40 years as a groundskeeper and custodian with the Brockton Public Schools.  An avid baseball fan, he had coached South Jr. High School in Brockton baseball for 10 years, Senior Babe Ruth Baseball in Middleboro for 15 years, a state title All-Star team there, and was a founder of the Middleboro Bolts semi-pro baseball team. Dennis was a dedicated family man and true, loyal friend to many; he was the beloved husband of Ellen (Jacobs) Horsman for 44 years; loving father of Chad (and Shannon) Horsman of E. Taunton, Keith Horsman and Nathan (and Anastassia) Horsman of Middleboro; devoted Grandpa of Tyler, Nolan, Avery, Corinne, Joshua, Elle and Sean; dear brother of Mary Bartorelli of Brockton, Lawrence Horsman Jr. of Florida, Donald Horsman of E. Bridgewater, Robert “Kenny” Horsman of E. Taunton, Wayne Horsman of Brockton, Ronald Horsman of Randolph and the late Nancy Wallant and David Horsman; and a beloved uncle of many who loved him. Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours Sunday 1-5 p.m. and a 5 p.m. memorial service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton.
