Daniel J. Flaherty, 52, of Rockland, formerly of Brockton, passed away from a heart attack on Feb. 4, 2017. Known as “Flea”, he worked in construction and enjoyed fishing, playing hockey and watching all sports, especially Patriots football. He was the father of Matthew D. Flaherty of Brockton; companion of  Lisa Jenkins of Rockland; brother of Tina Galvin of Roslindale, Peggy Martin, Joan Flaherty and Kathy Fralick, all of Brockton, Ginny McNeil of NH, and the late Joseph and John “Fly” Flaherty; an uncle and great-uncle of many; and he also leaves aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. All are welcome to calling hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. and his funeral Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton.  Private cremation.
