“Auntie” Claire E. (Olson) Brown, 99, a lifelong resident of Avon, passed away on September 7, 2016 at the Bourne Manor, Buzzards Bay. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel Olson, and was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Warren R. Brown. Claire was a graduate of Avon High School and the Burdett Business College, and worked as Assistant Treasurer of the Boston and Albany Credit Union for 40 years. She enjoyed traveling the U.S. in her Airstream trailer, and enjoyed needlework and keeping in touch with family and friends. She was a lifelong member of the Avon Baptist Church and served in many capacities there. Claire is survived by many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren, and her stepson Allan R. Brown and his wife Barbara of Michigan. All are welcome to her funeral service Friday, Sept. 16th at 12 noon in the Avon Baptist Church, 119 N. Main St., Avon and burial at Avon Cemetery.
