Carol A. (Janes) DeWolfe, 81, of Brockton, passed away May 11, 2017. Daughter of the late Albert and Edna (Pickett) Janes, she had worked as a waitress in local restaurants, at Dartmouth Shoe and Gift Basket Supplies, and as a housekeeper in local nursing homes. Carol retired in 1993 to care for her son Scott. She was an animal lover and enjoyed children. Carol was the beloved mother of Darlene Smith, Daniel DeWolfe, Paul DeWolfe and the late Scott DeWolfe; loving grandmother of Carolyn Janes, Dennis Smith Jr. and Dylan DeWolfe; great-grandmother of 3; sister of Gloria Connors, Lois Janes, Barbara Pierce, Phillip Janes and the late John, Richard, Robert, Constance and Phyllis Janes and Betty Morin; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews; and a close friend of Dave Schneider. All are welcome to calling hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, her funeral service Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
