Carmen Lina (Padilla Figueroa) Zeda, 83, of Brockton, passed away on May 8, 2016. Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Angel and Juana (Figueroa) Padilla. A communicant of St. Patrick Church, she was active in her church community and enjoyed socializing. Hardworking, compassionate and loveable, Carmen was devoted to her family. She enjoyed bingo, shopping and knitting. Carmen was the wife of the late Cristobal Zeda; beloved mother of Minelva Roca and her husband Jose F. Roca of New Jersey, and Edwin Zeda of Brockton; loving grandmother of Raquel M. Roca and twins Jessica M. and Pamela A. Roca; dear sister of Canda Flores of Waltham, Iris Padilla of Puerto Rico, Angel Padilla of Brockton and Jose Padilla of Marlborough; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday 5-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Thursday at 9 a.m., funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, 335 Main St., Brockton and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
