Arthur W. “Artie” Williams Jr., 68, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died September 11, 2017. A son of the late Louise (Loud) and Arthur Williams Sr., he served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Artie was a tractor trailer driver for Sealy-Mattress for over 30 years and was a member of Steel Workers Union 421. He enjoyed motorcycles and was a member of Club National. Artie was the husband of the late Cheryl D. (Krafton) Williams; father of Tara Mitchell and her husband Scott of Brockton, Arthur Williams III of Middleboro, Tiffanie Williams of Middleboro, Bryan Williams of Abington, Tyler Williams of Brockton and Braelyn Williams of Brockton; grandfather of Cade, Teigan, Avery, Kain, Reese, Vito, and Wyatt; brother of Jay Fisher, Joyce Holbrook, and the late Jean Brady and Gloria Fisher; and an uncle of many. All are welcome to calling hours Thursday 5-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral service Friday at 10 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
