Arthur T. Harris, 75, of Avon since 1969, passed away September 25, 2016. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Arthur W. and Elinor (Clarke) Harris. Arthur was a Randolph firefighter for 28 years until his retirement. A graduate of Brockton Trade School, he also did tile and carpet work for many years. Arthur was the beloved husband of Nancy L. (Fistori) Harris for 50 years; loving father of Elena M. Mills and her husband Brian of West Bridgewater and Arthur T. Harris Jr. of S. Carolina; dear grandfather of Allyson and Bridget Mills; brother of Carol Hastings of Pembroke, Elinor Perkins of Hanson and the late Joyce Cristoferi; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Thursday at 9:30 a.m., funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Michael Church and burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Avon. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to your favorite charity.
