Arlene M. (Fafard) (Jacoby) Cerrato, 91, of Brockton, formerly of Abington, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2018, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She worked in the office at London Clothing in Brockton for 6 years before becoming a bank teller at Rockland Trust, retiring after 19 years. Arlene was a wonderful mother and an exceptional cook. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, traveling, and going to her grandson and great-grandson’s dance competitions. Arlene was the wife of the late William F. Jacoby and Anthony Cerrato; beloved mother of Karen Gannon of Arlington and her late husband William, Lee Gomes of Brockton, and Mark Jacoby and his wife Linda of Abington; loving grandmother of Katie Gannon Alicea, Bridget Mericantante, Amy Gannon-Contreras, Jennifer and Justin Jacoby, Melissa Gomes-Felder, Tyeri Morrison, and the late Damien P. Gomes; great-grandmother of 11; sister of the late Georgette MacDonald, Fern Beal, Jean Kleinoskis, Roland Fafard, and George Fafard; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank everyone at South Shore Rehab for their wonderful care.
