Amelia “Amy” E. Yarmalavich, 103, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away April 23, 2017 at St. Joseph Manor. A daughter of the late Richard and Apolonija (Vervecka) Yarmalavich, she was a graduate of St. Patrick High School and Brockton Business College. She was an auditor for Mammoth Mart for over 30 years. Amy was a lifelong communicant of St. Casimir Church where she was in the Blue Army of Mary, Ladies Sodality and the choir then recently St. Michael Church in Avon. She enjoyed flower gardening and volunteering for Massasoit Community College and My Brother’s Keeper; she was also a member of Brockton council on Aging, AARP and senior bowling leagues. Amy was the beloved sister of Susan Boroskas of Brockton and the late Paul and Anne Yarmalavich; and the loving aunt of Mary and Frederick “Buzzy” Carleton and Constance and the late Anthony Grein, all of Brockton, Michael and Susan Boroskas of Manchester NH; and a dear great-aunt of several generations. All are welcome to a calling hour Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Manor Chapel, 215 Thatcher St. Brockton and burial at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Joseph Manor (for Pastoral Care).
