Albert Perewicz, 93, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died peacefully Aug. 20, 2016. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was retired from Foxboro Company after 32 years there and then drove Dial-A-Bat for 20 years. He was a former member of Pentecost United Methodist Church and enjoyed landscape gardening, traveling and bowling. Albert was the husband of the late Lorraine M. (Hamilton) Perewicz; beloved father of Dana Perewicz and his wife Dorothy of Brockton and LuAnn Keenan and her husband James of Plymouth; loving grandfather of Danette Lawson and her husband Lawrence of Taunton, Doreen Lehane and her husband John of Braintree, Dyan Welch and her husband Travis of Florida, Carinne Hardin and her husband Paul of Georgia, Abbey Ferguson and her husband Andrew of Hingham and Meghan Hanenberg and her husband William of New York City; great-grandfather of 13; brother of the late Wanda Talley and Raymond Perewitz; and an uncle of many. All are welcome to calling hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, his funeral service Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home and burial at Melrose Cemetery. In honor of Lorraine, memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
